Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day With Teamsters Joint Council 25

Members Encouraged to Participate in Two Parades in March

Chicago Teamsters can proclaim their Irish pride this March by participating in two parades with Teamsters Joint Council 25 in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

The Joint Council will head north on Sunday, March 11, for the Northwest Side Irish Parade, kicking off at the William J. Onahan School on Raven Street. Now in its ninth year, the north side celebration will march along Northwest Highway and feature local celebrities, including famed Chicago Blackhawk Bobby Hull.

“These annual parades are the perfect opportunities for Teamster families to come together and celebrate our union,” said Brian Meidel, Recording Secretary of Teamsters Joint Council 25, who will serve as Grand Marshall of the Northwest Side Irish Parade.

Joint Council 25 and its newly customized Teamster trailer will also roll in the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17. The downtown party will kick off at noon, traveling north through Grant Park.

Teamsters Joint Council 25 represents more than 100,000 hardworking men and women throughout Illinois and northwest Indiana.
