Teamster Trailers Truck Down the Las Vegas Strip

Day Four of the 28th International Brotherhood of Teamsters National Convention began with a roar on June 30, 2011, as Teamster trailers from across the country paraded down the Las Vegas Strip.

Hundreds of Teamsters lined Las Vegas Blvd. as the trailers for Teamsters Joint Council 25 and Teamsters Joint Council 42 led the pack. Four Joint Councils and more than 10 local unions showed their union pride with participating vehicles, each displaying the strength of the Teamsters with labor slogans and patriotic symbols.

The new Joint Council 25 truck made its debut, featuring the faces of members from three local affiliates in the Chicago metropolitan area—Teamsters Local 700, Teamsters Local 710 and Teamsters Local 727.

“The new Joint Council 25 trailer embodies the might of our union and lets everyone know we’ve got the power behind us to get the job done,” said John T. Coli, President of Joint Council 25. “Whether it’s out in Las Vegas or at a rally in Illinois, the trailer gives us a home field advantage even when we’re not at home.”

The new exterior of the Joint Council 25 trailer was printed and applied by Dahlstrom Display, a graphic display company represented by Teamsters Local 458M.

Teamsters Local 458M is an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 25, which represents more than 100,000 hardworking men and women throughout Illinois and Indiana.
