TNBC Family Day Outing Brings Teamsters Together

Local Affiliates, Families Encourage Camaraderie in Hazel Crest

Teamsters and their families came together this month for an afternoon of food, music and fun at the Third Annual Teamsters National Black Caucus Chicago Chapter Family Day Outing at Commissioner’s Park in Hazel Crest.

“The Family Day Outing is a perfect way to bring everyone together and celebrate the solidarity that makes up this union,” said John T. Coli, President of Teamsters Joint Council 25.

About 100 TNBC members and their families attended the event, which featured food, beverages, music, a raffle and a bounce house for the kids. Members of the Chicago Teamsters Hispanic Caucus and several Joint Council 25 affiliates were on-hand for the sun-soaked annual event. In addition to TNBC prizes, all attendees received copies of the pictorial history book and documentary DVD produced in March to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Joint Council 25.

The TNBC Chicago Chapter meets at 11:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of every month at 2601 S. Wabash Avenue, Chicago.

Teamsters Joint Council 25 represents more than 100,000 hardworking men and women throughout Illinois and Indiana.
