“It’s critical for the Teamsters in Chicago to elect labor-friendly candidates who understand the issues important to our members,” said John T. Coli, President of Joint Council 25. “We’re looking to give working men and women a much stronger voice on Chicago’s City Council for years to come.”
Joint Council 25’s endorsements include four Teamster members who are running for aldermanic seats across the city. In Chicago’s 12th Ward, members are encouraged to support Jose Guereca; in the 19th Ward, the Teamsters are backing Phil Sherlock; in the 36th Ward, the union is supporting Bruce Randazzo; and Carmen Olmetti, who is also endorsed by the Chicago Federation of Labor, is the Teamsters’ candidate in the 43rd Ward.
