TNBC Brings Families Together for Fun
Chicago Chapter's Annual Event Draws About 250 People
After the rain stopped, the party started at the second annual Teamsters National Black Caucus Chicago Chapter Family Outing on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Commissioner’s Park in Hazel Crest.
A rainy morning gave way to a sunny afternoon of food, music and fun for Teamsters and their families. About 250 people attended the event.
“It’s so great to see everyone out here having a good time,” said Zeberdee Barnes, Teamsters Local 727 President and TNBC Chicago Chapter Trustee. “The Teamsters are a family, so we want to have a chance for all of our members’ families to come together and get to know each other.”
The TNBC meets at 11:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of every month at 2601 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL. For information on joining the TNBC, contact Barnes at (773) 685-0340 or Ramon Williams at (847) 939-9700.
Teamsters Joint Council 25 represents more than 100,000 hardworking men and women in Illinois and Indiana.
