Hoffa Meets With Vice President Biden to Press for Job Creation
Teamsters General President Discusses Urgent Need for Jobs
Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa met Thursday with Vice President Joe Biden and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis to discuss the urgent need for job creation.
Hoffa urged the new White House Middle Class Task Force, which Biden leads, to make job creation a priority. He also emphasized the importance of support for union organizing and enforcement of trade agreements and labor regulations.
The White House Middle Class Tax Force was formed by President Obama to raise the living standards of middle-class, working families in America.
Founded in 1903, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents 1.4 million hardworking men and women in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
