Temple Inland Devco Workers Vote for Teamsters

Local 777 Welcomes New Members

Fulfillment workers at Temple Inland Devco overwhelmingly voted to join Teamsters Local 777 on June 13, 2008. 

Teamsters Local 777 and Joint Council 25 gathered at Temple Inland Devco to talk to workers and hand out ice cream June 11.

“This is a strong group who knew from the beginning they wanted to be Teamsters,” said Martin Aspera, Teamsters Local 777 Organizer.  “Everyone at Local 777 is happy to have them as members and ready to fight for a winning contract.”

Local 777 also represents 70 operators at Temple Inland.  The workers assemble boxes and displays at one of Temple Inland’s Chicago facilities.

Teamsters Local 777 represents 2,000 members in the Chicagoland area.
