Soldier Speaks at Teamsters Joint Council 25 May Delegates Meeting

Teamsters Joint Council 25 honored Edward Hajduk, A U.S. Navy Leading Chief Petty Officer and Teamsters Local 179 member, at the May Delegates Meeting.
"It's a great pleasure to have Ed Hajduk here and to show him how much we appreciate what he and the thousands of soldiers like him are doing for this country," said John T. Coli, Teamsters Joint Council 25 President. "We will never be able t thank these men and women and their families enough for their sacrifices."
Hajduk asked to address the delegates to show his thanks for the Teamsters' support while he was statined in the Middle East. The Joint Council sends out packages every other month to Teamsters and members' family stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"I wanted to cme here and personally thank the Joint Council for their support," said Hajduk. "You only read about the negative things happening, but the military is doing so much good in this world. Your genorosity and love helps so much and let's us know we are not forgotten."
Hajduk led the delegates in the Pledge of Allegiance as well as presenting Coli with an American flag that had hung at the Kuwait Naval Base Camp Patriot.
"When you get people telling us that the little things we do at the Joint Council mean a lot to them, it really inspires us to do even more," said Coli.
The Joint Council is sending approximately 20 care packages to soldiers six times a year. To submit the name of a soldier, please contact the Joint Council at 312-421-2600.
