Post-Tribune: Hoffa to Campaign for Obama in Northwest Indiana on Thursday
Teamster President to Visit Member Worksites
The leader of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Jim Hoffa, will visit Gary and Hammond Thursday to endorse the presidential campaign of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.

Hoffa, general president of the Teamsters, will visit the UPS facility at 3147 W. 169th St. in Hammond at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. He will also visit the Teamsters Local 142 office at 1300 Clark Road in Gary at 9 a.m.
The visits are among several stops Hoffa is making in Indiana for his “working class convoy for change.”
According to a news release, Hoffa will talk about “jobs, the economy, the nation’s failed trade policies and Sen. Barack Obama’s positions on these and other issues affecting working families.”
Obama and U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton are campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Indiana’s presidential primary is May 6.
