Teamsters Joint Council 25 Helps Endorsed Candidates
Members Work on Campaigns Around Illinois
Teamster members, retirees and interns came out to support Joint Council 25 endorsed candidates candidates on Super Tuesday and the days leading up to the election.

“This election is incredibly important, and it is essential that labor friendly candidates are elected,” said John T. Coli, Teamsters Joint Council 25 President. “The Teamsters are out on the streets handing out literature, knocking on doors and making phone calls to get the word out about candidates that will fight for working families.”
Teamsters Joint Council 25 has endorsed 23 candidates for the February 5 Primary. Two of the endorsed candidates, Nancy Hallihan Horodecki and Rudy Martin, Jr., are member of the Teamsters.
More than 40 Teamsters from Locals 301, 705, 726, 727 and 777 worked on campaigns from Chicago to Schaumburg.

“I am really happy to be taking part in such an important election,” said Travis Mumm, a Teamsters Joint Council 25 intern. “The Teamsters are helping candidates who understand issues that are important to union members, and this will really make a difference.”

Teamsters Joint Council 25 is the governing body of 22 local unions in the greater Chicagoland area. The Joint Council assists its local union in coordinating Teamsters activities, solving problems and organizing.
