Germaine “Silky Smooth” Sanders Will Compete in WBO Championship Boxing Match at Cicero Stadium

Germaine “Silky Smooth” Sanders, Teamster Local 714 member, will be the co-main event at the Windy City Fight Night Boxing Championship on Friday, November 4 at Cicero Stadium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first bout starts at 7:30 p.m.

Sanders, a welterweight who is often called “Chicago’s slickest fighter,” is a six-year Teamster at Elkay Manufacturing.

“Germaine is a very determined and well-trained boxer,” said Robert A. Hogan, Teamsters Local 714 Secretary-Treasurer. “I am proud to have him as a member of our union. We will be cheering for him tonight.”

In Sanders’ last fight, he defeated Luciano “El Gallo Bravo” Perez in the “Wave of Fury” boxing championship in June.
